This is an actual headline from our newspaper. The goats name is/was Duncan and Duncan sold for $2.80/lb I do believe. Duncan's next buddy maybe those baby Idaho potatoes. *yikes!*

Guess we all have to watch our pennies in this economy aye? :oD This amused me. *That's a Jag incase you weren't sure what type of car it was* ;o)

For when zombies attack!

This is the perfect thing to have on hand for when 'Night of the Living Dead' actually happens! Just add water and presto! Zombie food!! This just struck me as funny. :o)

In Bed

If you are a fan of the tv show 'Friends' then you know about the 'Fortune Cookie Game'. If not, then you will probably think I'm crazy . . . okay. . . crazier! :o)

This game is simple and can sometimes come-out with some hilarious results. Whenever you have a fortune cookie and you read your fortune, you just take on the words 'in bed' at the end of the sentence. See? Simple and fun!

Below is the latest installment of this game from our dinner a couple of nights ago at a local chinese resturant (sp).

This our newspapers actual forecast for August 1st. My only question is... How can it be very warm if the sun is only making a partial appearence?

Coffee Chat

World Famous Bob's Java Jive in Tacoma,WA. This is a building that we have driven past a million times and I always say as we see it from the highway, I gotta get down there and get some photos. Well, afew weeks ago, Andy and I finally did get down to the 'coffee pot' and I got a couple of photos. This is one of them.


The Java Jive was built in 1927 by a veterinarian and was designed by a local artist. This concrete coffe pot stands 25feet high and 30feet around.

The coffee pot was once a drive-thru for food and a speakeasy.

It has served as backdrops in movies such as 'I Love You to Death' and 'Say Anything'.

At one time, there were two chimpanzees that lived within the coffee pots "jungle room". Their names were 'java' and 'jive.

Nowadays, the place is a bit run down (the photo is one I took afew weeks ago) but still has a 'shine' to it as a unique landmark. The Jave Jive has karaoke on certain nights and live bands on weekends. Next time I am down that way, I may just have to go by and see if they are open and hope that they actually do serve cofee!
